Gnosco has achieved ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for information security. Since the company was started, Gnosco has implemented management systems, processes, and structures. The certification shows that Gnosco is equipped to actively lead and constantly improve the important work on information security.

BSI Group, an ISO accredited organisation and the UK national standards body, independently inspected the management system in place for Gnosco against ISO standard controls. Compliance with this standard demonstrates a commitment to monitoring adherence to best practices through repeatable processes.

“As healthcare becomes more and more digitalized, it becomes more pertinent to implement strategically structured information security systems. Considering pending threats of information security, the issue becomes even more important. Our customers require and appreciate that we work in a structured manner with information security since we are part of the digital ecosystems of our customers and partners. Therefore, I am very proud and happy that the company now has achieved the stringent certification requirements for ISO/IEC 27001. This is an achievement that the entire team at Gnosco should take credit for,” said Daniel Eliasson, CEO of Gnosco.

About ISO/IEC 27001 – the international information security standard

ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 (ISO 27001) is a global standard, published by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, and the IEC, International Electrotechnical Commission, for the management of information security risks. The standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS).

ISO/IEC 27001 protects a company’s business, reputation and adds value, and the standards best-practice approach is a framework which helps organizations manage and protect their information assets so that they remain safe and secure. It helps companies to continually review and refine the way they do this, not only for today, but also for the future.
